Description

A hearty one-pan dinner combining juicy ground beef, crispy bacon, melted cheese, and rice for a comforting meal the whole family will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 slices bacon

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1/2 medium onion, diced

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • 3 cups cooked rice

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 6–8 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, leaving 2 tbsp bacon fat in the pan.

  2. Add ground beef and diced onion to the skillet. Cook until beef is browned and onion is softened, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess grease if needed.

  3. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

  4. Add cooked rice, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well and let cook for 3–4 minutes so flavors blend.

  5. Chop cooked bacon and stir it into the skillet. Sprinkle cheese over the top, cover, and let melt for 2–3 minutes.

  6. Garnish with green onions and serve hot straight from the skillet.

Notes

Best served fresh, but leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave. Add a splash of broth if the rice feels dry.
