- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup beer (optional)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions and sauté until golden and caramelized, about 10 minutes.
- Push onions to the side, add bratwursts, and cook until browned on all sides.
- Sprinkle flour over onions, stir, and cook for 2 minutes.
- Slowly pour in beef broth and beer (if using), stirring constantly.
- Add Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Serve bratwursts topped with onion sauce and garnished with fresh parsley.
