Description
Easy Cheddar Bay Sausage Balls recipe packed with savory flavor, cheddar cheese, and sausage—perfect for parties, snacking, or meal prep.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (11.36-oz) package Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix
- 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1¼ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 lb uncooked sausage
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Mix the sausage and cream cheese. In a large bowl, combine the uncooked sausage with softened cream cheese until thoroughly incorporated.
- Add cheddar cheese. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, mixing well to evenly distribute throughout the sausage mixture.
- Add Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix. Add the entire package of biscuit mix (including the seasoning packet) into the bowl. Mix until a thick, uniform dough forms.
- Shape the balls. Roll the mixture into 1-inch to 1½-inch balls and place them onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked through.
- Cool slightly and serve warm.
Notes
If the dough feels sticky, refrigerate it for 15–20 minutes to make rolling easier.
For spicier sausage balls, choose hot sausage or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
Avoid over-mixing: gentle mixing ensures tender results.
