Cheddar Bay Sausage Balls Recipe: Easy Party Favorite

  • Author: Sarah White

Description

Easy Cheddar Bay Sausage Balls recipe packed with savory flavor, cheddar cheese, and sausage—perfect for parties, snacking, or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (11.36-oz) package Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix
  • 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1¼ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb uncooked sausage

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix the sausage and cream cheese. In a large bowl, combine the uncooked sausage with softened cream cheese until thoroughly incorporated.
  3. Add cheddar cheese. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, mixing well to evenly distribute throughout the sausage mixture.
  4. Add Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix. Add the entire package of biscuit mix (including the seasoning packet) into the bowl. Mix until a thick, uniform dough forms.
  5. Shape the balls. Roll the mixture into 1-inch to 1½-inch balls and place them onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked through.
  7. Cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

If the dough feels sticky, refrigerate it for 15–20 minutes to make rolling easier.

For spicier sausage balls, choose hot sausage or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.

Avoid over-mixing: gentle mixing ensures tender results.
