Cheeseburger Quesadillas with Burger Sauce

  • Author: Sarah White
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Description

Crispy tortillas stuffed with juicy beef, melted cheese, and tangy burger sauce. A fun mashup of two comfort food favorites!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (85–90% lean)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or mix with Monterey Jack)

  • 4 large flour tortillas

  • 1 tbsp butter or oil (for cooking)

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard

  • 2 tbsp finely chopped pickles

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef in a skillet over medium heat with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until browned. Drain any excess grease.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickles to make the burger sauce. Set aside.

  3. Lay a tortilla on a clean surface. Sprinkle cheese on one half, add beef, drizzle with burger sauce, and top with more cheese. Fold over.

  4. Heat butter or oil in a skillet. Cook each quesadilla for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

  5. Slice into wedges and serve warm with extra burger sauce for dipping.

Notes

For extra crispiness, brush tortillas lightly with melted butter before cooking. Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat best in a skillet or oven.
