Description
Crispy tortillas filled with sweet crab, tender shrimp, and melted cheese, served with a rich garlic cream sauce. Perfect for parties or weeknight indulgence.
Ingredients
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup crab meat
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Paprika, a pinch
- 2 tbsp butter (for sauce)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley or chives, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine crab meat, chopped shrimp, mozzarella, cheddar, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix gently.
- Lay a tortilla flat and spoon 2ā3 tablespoons of the seafood mixture into the center. Fold edges to form a sealed pouch. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
- Brush each tortilla bomb with melted butter and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15ā18 minutes, until golden and crisp.
- Meanwhile, melt 2 tbsp butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and sautƩ until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and simmer for 3ā4 minutes. Add Parmesan, whisking until smooth.
- Remove baked tortilla bombs from the oven, drizzle with garlic cream, and garnish with parsley or chives. Serve immediately.
Notes
Serve hot for the best texture. Make-ahead option: assemble bombs and refrigerate unbaked for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 1 month. Garlic cream can be made ahead and reheated gently. Pair with a crisp salad or white wine.
