Cookies and Cream Marshmallow Treats

Description

Make these easy Cookies and Cream Marshmallow Treats—a no-bake dessert with Oreos, marshmallows, and white chocolate everyone loves.


Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cups Jet-Puffed large marshmallows
  • 14.3 ounces Oreos, crushed (see note)
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • Sprinkles (rainbow or holiday-themed)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan.
    Line an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish with parchment paper. Lightly coat with nonstick spray to ensure easy removal later.
  2. Melt the butter and marshmallows.
    In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the marshmallows and stir continuously until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Add the crushed Oreos.
    Remove the pot from heat and immediately fold in the crushed Oreos until evenly coated. Work quickly, as the mixture sets fast.
  4. Press into the dish.
    Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan. Use a spatula or lightly greased hands to press it into an even layer without compacting too firmly.
  5. Melt the white chocolate.
    Combine white chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
  6. Spread and decorate.
    Pour the melted white chocolate over the Oreo-marshmallow base, spreading evenly. Top with sprinkles immediately before the chocolate sets.
  7. Cool and slice.
    Allow the bars to cool at room temperature for at least 45 minutes, or refrigerate for 20 minutes. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

For extra crunchy bars, reserve ½ cup of crushed Oreos to sprinkle on top.

Use double-stuf or regular Oreos depending on desired creaminess.

Do not pack the mixture too tightly or the bars may become hard.
