Description
Crispy, golden bread rolls filled with cream cheese and coated in cinnamon sugar. A quick, sweet snack that’s addictive and fun to make.
Ingredients
- 10 slices white sandwich bread
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Oil for frying (or use baking method)
Instructions
- Trim crusts from bread and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
- Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on one side of each slice.
- Roll up tightly into logs, seam side down.
- Dip each roll in melted butter, then coat in cinnamon sugar.
- Fry in medium-hot oil until golden and crisp, about 2–3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
- Alternatively, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
Notes
Serve warm with caramel, chocolate, or fruit dip. Best eaten fresh but can be reheated in the oven to restore crispness.
