Description

Crispy, golden bread rolls filled with cream cheese and coated in cinnamon sugar. A quick, sweet snack that’s addictive and fun to make.

Ingredients

  • 10 slices white sandwich bread

  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • Oil for frying (or use baking method)

Instructions

  1. Trim crusts from bread and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.

  2. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on one side of each slice.

  3. Roll up tightly into logs, seam side down.

  4. Dip each roll in melted butter, then coat in cinnamon sugar.

  5. Fry in medium-hot oil until golden and crisp, about 2–3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

  6. Alternatively, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes, flipping once halfway through.

Notes

Serve warm with caramel, chocolate, or fruit dip. Best eaten fresh but can be reheated in the oven to restore crispness.
