- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 6 c. whole milk
- 2 c. heavy cream
- 2 (4-oz.) semisweet chocolate bars, chopped
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. instant espresso or coffee
- 15 jumbo marshmallows, plus more for garnish
- 8 oz. Irish cream liqueur (optional)
- Shaved chocolate, for garnish
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, whisk together sugar and cocoa powder.
- Add whole milk, heavy cream, chopped chocolate, and vanilla extract. Stir well.
- Set the slow cooker on low heat and cook for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- After 2 hours, add instant espresso and mix.
- Stir in Irish cream liqueur if desired.
- Serve warm with jumbo marshmallows and shaved chocolate on top.
Notes
Optional Irish cream adds a festive touch, but the drink is equally delicious without it.
