Viral Smash Burger Tacos with juicy beef, melty cheese, and burger sauce—crispy, fun, and unbelievably delicious.


Ingredients

Burger Sauce

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp chopped dill pickle
  • 2 tsp yellow mustard
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp black pepper

Tacos

  • 8 mini flour tortillas (street taco size)
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (90% lean)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup sliced sweet pickles
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • ¼ cup finely chopped tomatoes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix all burger sauce ingredients until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions.
  3. Press each portion of beef evenly onto one side of a tortilla, spreading it thin to the edges.
  4. Season the beef side with salt and pepper.
  5. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  6. Place tortillas beef-side down into the hot pan and press firmly with a spatula.
  7. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the beef is deeply browned and crispy.
  8. Flip the tortillas, add a slice of American cheese, and cook for 1–2 minutes until melted.
  9. Remove from heat and top with lettuce, pickles, onion, tomatoes (if using), and a drizzle of burger sauce.
  10. Fold and serve immediately.

Notes

Use a very hot pan for best browning.

Don’t overwork the beef—it should be thin and loosely pressed.

Serve right away for maximum crispiness.
