Ingredients
-
12 jumbo marshmallows
-
1 cup pancake mix
-
1 large egg
-
¾ cup milk
-
1 tsp vegetable oil (plus extra for frying)
-
Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
-
Chocolate syrup (for drizzling)
-
Sprinkles (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
-
Prepare the batter: In a mixing bowl, combine pancake mix, egg, milk, and 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil. Whisk until smooth and slightly thick.
-
Heat the oil: Pour enough vegetable oil into a deep frying pan to submerge the marshmallows. Heat over medium-high until the temperature reaches 350°F (175°C).
-
Coat the marshmallows: Using a skewer or fork, dip each jumbo marshmallow into the batter, making sure it’s fully coated.
-
Fry until golden: Carefully drop the coated marshmallows into the hot oil. Fry for about 30–45 seconds per side until golden brown.
-
Drain and cool: Use a slotted spoon to remove the marshmallows and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
-
Add toppings: Drizzle with chocolate syrup, add whipped cream, and sprinkle with colorful toppings. Serve immediately for the best texture.
Notes
Work in small batches to avoid overcrowding.
Keep an eye on the oil temperature to prevent burning.
Best served hot for maximum gooeyness.
