Savory, smoky, and chewy homemade beef jerky made easily in the air fryer. A healthy, high-protein snack perfect for on-the-go energy.

- 1 lb beef sirloin tip steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional, for sweetness)
Instructions
- Place beef in the freezer for 30–45 minutes to firm, then slice thinly against the grain into strips.
- In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, liquid smoke, and brown sugar.
- Add beef slices to the marinade, coat well, and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the air fryer to 175°F (80°C). Pat beef slices dry with paper towels.
- Arrange strips in a single layer in the basket, ensuring no overlap.
- Air fry for 2–3 hours, flipping halfway, until beef is dry but slightly flexible.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before storing in an airtight container.
Notes
Store at room temperature for 1 week, in the fridge for 3 weeks, or freeze up to 3 months. Customize flavors with chili flakes, honey, or teriyaki sauce.
