Description
Golden crescent rolls filled with tender chicken, gooey mozzarella, and baked in a creamy sauce. A comforting and family-friendly dinner.
Ingredients
- 5 boneless chicken breasts, cooked and chopped
- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 1 can (10 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 soup can full of milk
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray or butter, for greasing dish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup and milk until smooth. Set aside.
- Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Place chicken and mozzarella on the wide end of each piece.
- Roll each triangle around the filling, sealing the edges, and place seam side down in the baking dish.
- Pour the soup mixture evenly over the rolls. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until rolls are golden brown and sauce is bubbling.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow sauce to thicken slightly.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven. Try adding broccoli or spinach to the filling for extra flavor and nutrition.
