Description
Golden Italian bread stuffed with creamy shrimp, cheese, and garlic butter. A perfect seafood appetizer or indulgent party snack.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf crusty Italian bread
- 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet, add shrimp, and sauté until pink, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat to cool slightly.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mozzarella, cooked shrimp, garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.
- Slice bread into 2-inch rounds and hollow out the centers to form small pockets.
- Stuff each bread piece generously with the shrimp mixture and place on the baking sheet.
- Combine melted butter with parsley and brush over the tops of the bread.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 5 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
Best served warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven. These pair wonderfully with a crisp salad or a bowl of tomato soup.
