  • Author: Sarah White

Description

Golden Italian bread stuffed with creamy shrimp, cheese, and garlic butter. A perfect seafood appetizer or indulgent party snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf crusty Italian bread

  • 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet, add shrimp, and sauté until pink, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat to cool slightly.

  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mozzarella, cooked shrimp, garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.

  4. Slice bread into 2-inch rounds and hollow out the centers to form small pockets.

  5. Stuff each bread piece generously with the shrimp mixture and place on the baking sheet.

  6. Combine melted butter with parsley and brush over the tops of the bread.

  7. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 5 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Best served warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven. These pair wonderfully with a crisp salad or a bowl of tomato soup.
