Description

A crispy, buttery, garlic-infused grilled cheese sandwich with a gooey melted cheese center. The ultimate comfort food made simple.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices thick-cut sourdough bread

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, provolone blend)

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic and a pinch of salt until well combined.

  2. Spread the garlic butter generously on one side of each slice of bread.

  3. Place two slices butter-side down in a skillet, top with cheese, and cover with remaining slices butter-side up.

  4. Cook over medium-low heat for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently until golden brown and cheese is fully melted.

  5. Remove from pan, let rest for 1 minute, then slice and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle grated parmesan on the outside before grilling. Best served fresh with tomato soup or a side salad.
