4 slices thick-cut sourdough bread

4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, provolone blend)

Pinch of salt

Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic and a pinch of salt until well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter generously on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices butter-side down in a skillet, top with cheese, and cover with remaining slices butter-side up.
- Cook over medium-low heat for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently until golden brown and cheese is fully melted.
- Remove from pan, let rest for 1 minute, then slice and serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle grated parmesan on the outside before grilling. Best served fresh with tomato soup or a side salad.
