Pepperoni Pizza Pumpkins

Easy Halloween Pepperoni Pizza Pumpkins

  • Author: Sarah White

Description

Make Pepperoni Pizza Pumpkins for a fun Halloween treat! Stuffed with mozzarella and pepperoni, they’re spooky, cheesy, and kid-friendly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated pizza pie crust
  • 2 tablespoons marinara sauce (plus more for dipping)
  • 16 slices of pepperoni
  • 8 mini mozzarella balls (or 8 cubes of mozzarella)
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten with 2 teaspoons water
  • Cooking spray or parchment paper for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into 8 squares (or circles) large enough to wrap around the filling.
  3. Add a small spoonful of marinara to the center of each dough piece.
  4. Place 2 slices of pepperoni and 1 mini mozzarella ball (or cube) on top of the sauce.
  5. Wrap the dough around the filling, pinching and sealing the edges to form a ball. Flip seam-side down.
  6. Use kitchen twine to tie each dough ball loosely into a pumpkin shape — crisscrossing string to form “sections.” Leave room for the dough to expand.
  7. Brush each dough ball with the egg wash to give it a shiny, golden finish.
  8. Bake for 16–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly, then remove the twine carefully. Optional: Insert a small parsley stem or pretzel stick at the top for the “pumpkin stem.”
  10. Serve warm with extra marinara on the side for dipping.

Notes

Don’t overtighten the twine — it should guide the shape, not restrict the dough’s expansion.

You can use string cheese cut into chunks if you don’t have mini mozzarella balls.

Add Italian seasoning or garlic powder to the egg wash for extra flavor.
