Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow brownies to cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
