Description
Golden, flaky pizza pockets stuffed with gooey mozzarella and tangy pizza sauce. A quick, kid-friendly snack or meal made in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough or pizza dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or follow package directions for pizza dough. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the dough. If using crescent rolls, separate into triangles; if using pizza dough, cut into squares or rectangles.
- Spoon 1–2 teaspoons of pizza sauce onto the center of each dough piece.
- Sprinkle 1–2 tablespoons of mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Fold the dough over the filling to form a pocket. Seal the edges firmly with your fingers or a fork.
- Place the pockets on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving to avoid hot cheese burns.
Notes
For extra flavor, brush tops with melted butter or egg wash before baking. Add pepperoni, veggies, or herbs for variety. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
