Description
Juicy ground beef, crispy bacon, and melty cheddar are tossed with pasta for a one-skillet meal that tastes just like a cheeseburger. A quick, comforting dinner everyone will love.
Ingredients
-
1 pound ground beef
-
6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
-
2 cups cooked rotini or penne pasta
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
1 small onion, diced
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1/4 cup green onions, chopped (optional for garnish)
Instructions
-
Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
-
In a large skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel–lined plate, leaving a little bacon fat in the pan.
-
Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Stir in onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Drain excess fat if needed.
-
Stir the cooked pasta into the beef mixture. Add shredded cheddar cheese and mix until melted and creamy.
-
Chop the cooked bacon and stir into the skillet. Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with extra cheese or green onions if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
For extra creaminess, stir in 2 tablespoons of cream cheese or sour cream before adding the bacon. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk to keep it creamy.
