Description

Juicy ground beef, crispy bacon, and melty cheddar are tossed with pasta for a one-skillet meal that tastes just like a cheeseburger. A quick, comforting dinner everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped

  • 2 cups cooked rotini or penne pasta

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel–lined plate, leaving a little bacon fat in the pan.

  3. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Stir in onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Drain excess fat if needed.

  4. Stir the cooked pasta into the beef mixture. Add shredded cheddar cheese and mix until melted and creamy.

  5. Chop the cooked bacon and stir into the skillet. Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with extra cheese or green onions if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra creaminess, stir in 2 tablespoons of cream cheese or sour cream before adding the bacon. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk to keep it creamy.
