Description
Creamy, cheesy lasagna layered with tender shrimp and sweet lump crab meat, perfect for special dinners or family meals.
Ingredients
- Â 9 lasagna noodles, cooked
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup lump crab meat
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 cups milk
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Boil lasagna noodles until al dente, then drain and lay flat.
- In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until soft and fragrant, about 2–3 minutes.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 3–4 minutes. Remove and combine with crab meat, set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt remaining 2 tbsp butter, stir in flour, and cook 1–2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened, then season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
- Assemble lasagna: spread a layer of béchamel sauce, then noodles, half of the seafood, more sauce, and half of the cheeses. Repeat with remaining noodles, seafood, sauce, and cheeses.
- Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use fresh seafood for best flavor. Lasagna can be prepared ahead and refrigerated or frozen. Serve with a green salad or crusty bread for a complete meal.
