Spider Donuts for Halloween

Easy Spider Donuts for Halloween

  • Author: Sarah White

Description

Make Easy Spider Donuts for Halloween using donut holes, icing, and edible eyes. Fun, spooky, and perfect for kids!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 dozen Halloween-themed donuts (any flavor)
  • 12 chocolate donut holes
  • 1 tube black decorating icing (gel or frosting)
  • 24 edible candy eyeballs
  • Optional: black licorice strings (for legs)

Instructions

  1. Prep your surface: Lay out parchment paper or a tray to work on for easy cleanup.
  2. Place the donut base: Lay out the Halloween donuts flat-side down. These are your spider’s web or nest.
  3. Attach the spider body: Use a small dab of black icing to attach a chocolate donut hole to the center of each Halloween donut.
  4. Add the eyes: Use small dots of icing to stick two edible eyeballs onto each donut hole.
  5. Draw the legs: With the black decorating icing, draw four legs on each side of the donut hole directly onto the donut. If using licorice, cut small segments and gently insert them into the donut hole sides.
  6. Let set: Allow the icing to set for 10–15 minutes so everything sticks well before serving.

Notes

Use chocolate or powdered donuts as the base depending on your Halloween theme.

For extra spookiness, sprinkle red or green sugar over the donuts to resemble webs.

Want a mess-free version? Use edible markers for legs if working with very young kids.
