Ingredients

Scale

Beef Filling

  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 yellow onion, finely diced
  • 2 packs Beyond Beef
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 (25 oz) jar marinara sauce

Plant-Based Cheese Sauce

  • 1 cup raw cashews
  • 2 cups water
  • ⅓ cup tapioca starch
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Slider Tree Assembly

  • 16 Hawaiian dinner rolls
  • 1 tbsp plant-based butter, melted
  • 1 tsp minced onion
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup vegan parmesan
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant and translucent. Add Beyond Beef and cook until browned.
  2. Season and Simmer
Stir in garlic powder, oregano, basil, and marinara sauce. Reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
  3. Make the Cheese Sauce
Blend all cheese sauce ingredients until completely smooth. Pour into a saucepan and heat over medium, stirring constantly until thick and stretchy.
  4. Assemble the Sliders
Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally without separating them. Arrange in a Christmas tree shape on a baking tray.
  5. Fill and Top
Spread beef mixture evenly, drizzle cheese sauce, then replace tops. Brush with butter and sprinkle onion, basil, and sesame seeds.
  6. Bake
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 18–22 minutes until golden.
  7. Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle with vegan parmesan and parsley before serving.

Notes

Soak cashews in hot water for 15 minutes if you don’t have a high-speed blender.

Don’t overbake—soft centers are key to perfect sliders.
