- 2½ cups powdered sugar (300g)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, cubed and softened (113g)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- Green gel food coloring
- ½ cup cornstarch (56g)
- Red heart-shaped sprinkles or cinnamon candies
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, salt, and cornstarch.
- Add the cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and vanilla extract. Add to the flour mixture and stir to combine.
- Add green food coloring until the dough turns Grinch-green.
- Roll dough into balls and place on the prepared baking sheet. Press a heart-shaped sprinkle in the center of each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
Notes
Use a toothpick to help press down the heart sprinkles if they don’t stick easily. Adjust the green food coloring for desired vibrancy.
