Description
Make spooky Frankenstein Halloween Pretzels with green candy melts, candy eyeballs, and chocolate for a fun, easy Halloween treat.
Ingredients
-
1 cup green candy melts
-
28 pretzel snaps (square pretzels)
-
56 candy eyeballs
-
8–10 pretzel sticks or pieces of snap pretzels (for “bolts”)
-
⅓ cup semi-sweet chocolate melting wafers
Instructions
-
Melt the Green Candy Melts
In a microwave-safe bowl, heat green candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth and fully melted. -
Coat the Pretzels
Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each pretzel snap into the melted green candy, fully covering it. Gently tap off excess candy and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. -
Add Candy Eyeballs
While the coating is still wet, press two candy eyeballs onto each pretzel to create Frankenstein’s eyes. -
Create the Bolts
Attach one or two pretzel sticks or broken pretzel snap pieces on each side of the coated pretzel to resemble Frankenstein’s neck bolts. Use a small dab of melted candy to “glue” them in place. -
Make the Stitches
Melt the semi-sweet chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth. Transfer the melted chocolate into a piping bag or small plastic bag with the tip snipped off. -
Pipe the Details
Once the green candy coating is set but still slightly tacky, pipe small stitch lines across the top of each Frankenstein head and add a mouth or scar details as desired. -
Let Set Completely
Allow the pretzels to cool and harden at room temperature or speed the process by placing them in the fridge for 10–15 minutes. -
Serve and Enjoy!
Arrange on a festive platter and watch these spooky treats disappear quickly!
Notes
If candy melts get too thick, stir in a small amount of vegetable oil or shortening to smooth.
Work in batches to prevent candy from hardening before dipping.
Store pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain crunch.
