Fried Cheese-Stuffed Doritos

  • Author: Sarah White
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: About 20 cheese bites 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

Crispy, golden bites with a bold Doritos crust and gooey melted cheddar inside. The ultimate party snack or game-day appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  •  1 bag Nacho Cheese Doritos, crushed
  • 8 oz block cheddar cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 3 cups vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut the cheddar cheese block into even 1-inch cubes and set aside.

  2. Crush the Doritos into fine crumbs using a food processor or by sealing in a bag and rolling with a pin.

  3. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with crushed Doritos.

  4. Dredge each cheese cube in flour, dip in egg, and roll in Doritos. Repeat the egg and Doritos step for a thicker coating.

  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry cubes in small batches for 1–2 minutes until golden.

  6. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Freeze coated cubes before frying to prevent cheese from leaking. Pair with ranch, salsa, or spicy queso for dipping. Best served immediately.
