Buttery Garlic Bread Recipe

Classic garlic bread recipe with buttery garlic spread and optional cheese toppings. Perfect for any meal or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian loaf or French loaf

  • ½ cup softened unsalted butter (can use salted)

  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced

  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley

  • ⅛ teaspoon sea salt

Optional cheese toppings:

  • ¼ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

  • OR ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

For garnishing:

  • Extra parsley and chives


Instructions

  • Preheat Oven
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Prepare Garlic Butter
    In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and sea salt until well combined.

  • Slice the Bread
    Cut the Italian or French loaf in half lengthwise to create two large pieces.

  • Spread the Garlic Butter
    Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread.

  • Add Cheese (Optional)
    Sprinkle parmesan or mozzarella cheese evenly over the buttered bread, if using.

  • Bake
    Place bread halves on a baking sheet, buttered side up. Bake for 10-15 minutes until the bread is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Garnish and Serve
    Remove from oven, sprinkle with extra parsley and chives, slice, and serve warm.
