Description

Smoky, buttery, and sweet beef filling wrapped in warm taco shells for a quick and flavorful meal. Perfect for family dinners or taco night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp garlic butter
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 8 taco shells or tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until softened and lightly golden.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Stir in garlic butter until melted, coating the beef with rich, garlicky flavor.
  4. Add honey BBQ sauce and simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened and well combined.
  5. Warm taco shells, then fill with beef mixture and top with lettuce, cheese, tomato, and sour cream if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Leftover beef filling can be refrigerated for 3–4 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat gently with a splash of water or extra BBQ sauce.
