Description
Easy Garlic Parmesan Roasted Broccoli recipe with crispy, flavorful florets. Perfect for sides or healthy meals.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
- Extra fresh parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Prepare Broccoli: Wash and dry the broccoli florets thoroughly. Patting them dry ensures they roast rather than steam.
- Season: In a large mixing bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, crushed garlic, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread on Baking Sheet: Arrange the broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they aren’t overcrowded. Overcrowding can cause soggy edges.
- Roast: Place the baking sheet in the oven and roast for 20–25 minutes, tossing halfway through for even browning.
- Add Parmesan: Remove from the oven, sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese, and return to the oven for an additional 2–3 minutes until the cheese melts and slightly browns.
- Serve: Optionally, add extra fresh parmesan before serving. Enjoy immediately while hot.
Notes
Using fresh garlic gives a stronger flavor; roasted garlic can soften the punch.
Don’t skip drying the broccoli—moisture will prevent crisping.
Leftovers can be reheated in a 350°F oven for 5–7 minutes to maintain crispness.
