Instructions
- Prepare the German chocolate cake mix according to package directions and bake in a 9×13-inch pan.
- While the cake is still warm, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes evenly across the surface.
- Pour sweetened condensed milk over the cake, letting it soak into the holes.
- Drizzle caramel sauce evenly over the cake, spreading gently with a spatula.
- Allow the cake to cool completely, then spread the coconut-pecan frosting on top.
- Garnish with shredded coconut and chopped pecans if desired. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
Best served chilled for maximum flavor. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. For extra indulgence, top with whipped cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
