Description
This spooky Halloween Graveyard 7 Layer Bean Dip is loaded with flavor and perfect for a creepy Halloween party spread!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 2 (8 oz) cans refried black beans
- 4 avocados or 2 cups prepared guacamole
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- ½ lime, juiced
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
- 2 cups salsa
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1–2 (3.8 oz) cans sliced black olives
- Assorted tortillas (different colors)
- Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the beans: In a bowl, mix refried black beans with half of the taco seasoning. Spread this as the bottom layer in a large shallow dish or serving tray.
- Make the guacamole: Mash the avocados with chili powder, garlic salt, and lime juice. Spread this layer over the beans.
- Seasoned sour cream: Combine sour cream with the remaining taco seasoning and spread evenly over the guacamole.
- Layer salsa: Gently spoon salsa over the sour cream layer. Smooth it out evenly.
- Add cheese: Sprinkle shredded Mexican cheese across the top.
- Add lettuce: Spread shredded lettuce over the cheese layer for your “grass”.
- Top with olives: Scatter sliced black olives for added creepy detail (“bugs” or “eyeballs”).
- Decorate: Cut tortillas into tombstone, bone, or ghost shapes. Toast or bake them until crisp. Insert into the dip to create a graveyard scene.
- Serve with chips: Provide multicolor tortilla chips for dipping.
Notes
