- 3 medium ripe avocados, peeled and cubed
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 3 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Tortilla chips (for serving)
- Optional Garnishes: Sour cream, refried black beans, ripe olives
Instructions
- Mash the avocados in a medium bowl to your preferred texture.
- Add onion, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Stir until well combined.
- Taste and adjust lime and salt if needed.
- Transfer to serving bowl and smooth the top.
- Decorate: Pipe sour cream in a spiral and drag a toothpick to create a spiderweb effect. Use black olives to make olive spiders or eyeballs. Add refried black beans to simulate graveyard dirt.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips or cover tightly and chill until ready to serve.
Notes
Use fresh, ripe avocados for best texture and flavor.
For easier piping, put sour cream in a zip-top bag and snip a tiny hole.
Add diced jalapeño if you like a little heat.
Serve with orange and black tortilla chips for full Halloween effect.
