Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated onion
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 slider buns
  • Optional toppings: cheddar cheese, lettuce, apple butter, Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, apple cider, breadcrumbs, grated onion, salt, and pepper until just mixed. 
  2. Shape mixture into 8 small patties, slightly larger than the slider buns to account for shrinkage. 
  3. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. 
  4. Toast slider buns lightly, then assemble with patties and your choice of toppings. 
  5. Serve warm with sides like sweet potato fries or coleslaw.

Notes

For added flavor, try topping with caramelized onions or sharp cheddar. Patties can be made ahead, refrigerated for up to 1 day, or frozen raw for up to 2 months.
