Holiday Pizza Wreath – Festive Cheesy Appetizer

  • Author: Sarah White

Description

Festive Holiday Pizza Wreath loaded with cheese, salami, peppers, and arugula. Perfect for holiday parties or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Classic Crust Pizza Crust
  • 89 cheese sticks
  • 1 jar (25 oz) Muir Glen™ Organic Pasta Sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups baby arugula
  • 2 red bell peppers, 1 diced, 1 sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 oz spiced salami, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Sauces for dipping and serving (ranch dressing, balsamic vinegar, pizza sauce, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Pizza Crust:
Unroll the refrigerated pizza crust and stretch it into a circular wreath shape. Leave a hole in the center to resemble a wreath.
  3. Layer Cheese Sticks:
Place cheese sticks evenly around the outer ring of the dough, leaving space between each for folding.
  4. Add Toppings:
Scatter diced red and green bell peppers, sliced red bell pepper, spiced salami, and shredded mozzarella over the crust. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan for extra flavor.
  5. Fold Crust Over Cheese Sticks:
Fold the dough over the cheese sticks to create a braided or crescent-like pattern around the wreath. Seal edges gently to prevent cheese from leaking.
  6. Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Add Fresh Arugula:
Once baked, remove from the oven and top with fresh baby arugula for a festive, fresh contrast.
  8. Serve with Dipping Sauces:
Place your Holiday Pizza Wreath on a platter and serve with your choice of dipping sauces, like ranch, balsamic vinegar, or extra pizza sauce.

Notes

Use cheese sticks that melt easily for gooey, delicious pockets.

Pre-slicing the salami and vegetables ensures even cooking and prevents sogginess.

Brush the crust lightly with olive oil before baking for a golden finish.
