  • 1 box yellow cake mix

  • ¾ cup vegetable or canola oil

  • 4 eggs

  • 8 oz sour cream

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 4 tablespoons milk

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, oil, eggs, and sour cream. Stir by hand for about 50 strokes until smooth.
3. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
4. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the batter in the pan.
5. Pour the remaining batter over the cinnamon-sugar layer and gently smooth it out.
6. Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the layers, creating a marbled effect. Do not overmix.
7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. While the cake is baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth to make the glaze. Add milk if needed to reach desired consistency.
9. Once the cake is out of the oven and slightly cooled, drizzle the glaze evenly over the warm cake.
10. Allow to cool completely before slicing or enjoy warm for a gooey treat.
