Sweet, nutty, and warmly spiced, these Honey Cinnamon Roll-Ups are a quick treat perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a cozy snack.
Ingredients
- 2 cups ground walnuts, toasted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup honey, plus extra for drizzling
- 8 sheets phyllo dough (or puff pastry/tortillas)
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- Toast walnuts until fragrant, then grind them finely in a food processor. Mix with sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Lay out one sheet of phyllo, brush lightly with melted butter, and sprinkle with the walnut mixture. Drizzle with a touch of honey.
- Roll tightly into a log, then slice into 1–2 inch pieces. Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
- Arrange pieces seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 18–22 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Drizzle with honey while warm, allow to cool slightly, and serve.
Notes
Best enjoyed warm. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze unbaked roll-ups for later. Pair with tea or coffee for a cozy treat.
