Description

Spicy, tangy, and packed with flavor, these devilled wings are the perfect crowd-pleaser. With a touch of heat from sriracha and chili powder, balanced by a honey-brown sauce glaze, they offer a fiery yet balanced taste.


Ingredients

  • Oil, for greasing
  • ½ tsp hot chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tbsp chicken seasoning
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1kg chicken wings
  • 150g soured cream
  • 10g fresh chives, snipped
  • For the glaze:
    • 12 tbsp (to taste) sriracha
    • 2 tbsp brown sauce
    • 2 tbsp clear honey
    • ¾ x 15g tube Dr. Oetker extra-strong red food color gel (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) and grease a baking tray with oil.
  • Mix the chili powder, ground coriander, chicken seasoning, and paprika in a bowl.
  • Toss the chicken wings in the spice mix until evenly coated.
  • Arrange the wings on the baking tray and cook for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the glaze by mixing sriracha, brown sauce, honey, and food color gel.
  • Once the wings are cooked, brush them generously with the glaze and return to the oven for 5 minutes to caramelize.
  • Serve with soured cream and fresh chives on the side for dipping.

Notes

You can adjust the spice level by varying the amount of sriracha and chili powder.
