  • Author: Sarah White
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Juicy chicken burgers brushed with a sweet and tangy maple mustard glaze, perfect for Oktoberfest or a cozy fall dinner. A lighter yet flavorful twist on a classic burger.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon or whole-grain mustard
  • 4 burger buns, toasted
  • 4 slices cheese (optional, such as Swiss or cheddar)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomato
  • Sliced onion
  • Pickles or sauerkraut (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground chicken with salt and black pepper until combined. Shape into 4 equal patties.
  2. Preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface.
  3. Whisk together maple syrup and mustard to make the glaze.
  4. Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side, brushing with the glaze during the final minutes of cooking until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Toast buns lightly, then assemble burgers with patties, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and any extra toppings. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add smoked paprika to the chicken or a dash of hot sauce to the glaze. Store cooked patties in the fridge up to 3 days or freeze up to 2 months.
