Description

A quick and creamy one pot pasta with smoky kielbasa, tender pasta, and savory garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 lb smoked kielbasa or turkey/chicken sausage, sliced 1/4 inch thick

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 8 oz pasta (penne, rigatoni, or farfalle)

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Red pepper flakes, optional

  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook until browned, about 4–5 minutes.

  2. Remove the sausage and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté onions until translucent, about 3–4 minutes, then add garlic and cook 1–2 more minutes.

  3. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, and bring to a simmer.

  4. Add uncooked pasta to the skillet, cover, and cook 10–12 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.

  5. Return kielbasa to the skillet, stir in Parmesan cheese, and cook until the sauce is creamy and well combined.

  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra nutrition. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat gently with a splash of broth or cream.
