Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Description

: A crispy, buttery grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with gooey mozzarella, marinara sauce, and your favorite pizza toppings. The perfect comfort food mashup.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread (sourdough, Italian, or sandwich bread)

  • 2 tbsp softened butter

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 4 tbsp marinara or pizza sauce

  • 8 slices pepperoni (optional)

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix softened butter with garlic powder in a small bowl. Spread evenly over one side of each bread slice.

  2. Place two slices of bread butter-side down on a cutting board. Spread 2 tbsp marinara sauce on each slice.

  3. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and add pepperoni or toppings of choice.

  4. Top with the remaining bread slices, butter-side up, and press gently.

  5. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.

  6. Slice diagonally and serve hot with extra marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

For extra crispiness, sprinkle Parmesan on the buttered bread before grilling. Pairs perfectly with tomato soup or a fresh salad.
