Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil or sesame oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 6 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds, for garnish
- 2 green onions, chopped, for garnish
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in garlic and ginger, cooking for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the sliced cabbage, tossing to combine with the beef. Cook for 5–7 minutes until tender but still slightly crisp.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Pour over the beef and cabbage mixture, stirring to coat evenly.
- Simmer for 2–3 minutes to let the flavors meld. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Serve with steamed rice, cauliflower rice, or noodles for a complete meal. For extra heat, add sriracha or fresh chili slices.
