Description

This shredded beef recipe is simple yet delicious, perfect for tacos, sandwiches, or as a main dish.

 


Ingredients

  • 1 pound rump roast
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup barbeque sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon steak seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Place the rump roast in a slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, mix water, barbeque sauce, honey, steak seasoning, cumin, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  • Pour the mixture over the rump roast.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
  • Remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred using two forks.
  • Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and mix with the remaining juices.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add chili powder or cayenne pepper.
  • Serve with tortillas, rice, or bread rolls.
