- 1 pound rump roast
- 1 cup water
- ¼ cup barbeque sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon steak seasoning
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Place the rump roast in a slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix water, barbeque sauce, honey, steak seasoning, cumin, onion powder, and garlic powder.
- Pour the mixture over the rump roast.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
- Remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred using two forks.
- Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and mix with the remaining juices.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add chili powder or cayenne pepper.
- Serve with tortillas, rice, or bread rolls.
