3–4 lbs apples, peeled and sliced

2 tbsp cornstarch

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

2 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Peel and slice the apples evenly, then place them in the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mixture over the apples and gently toss to coat.
- Scatter butter pieces evenly over the apples.
- Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours, stirring halfway through.
- Check for tenderness and thickness; cook uncovered for 15 minutes if needed.
- Serve warm on its own or as a topping for pancakes, waffles, or desserts.
Notes
For a richer flavor, try dark brown sugar or add a pinch of nutmeg. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
