Description
- Creepy yet delicious cinnamon rolls with a vibrant red glaze, mimicking bloody guts—perfect for a spooky Halloween treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 (8 count) package store-bought cinnamon rolls – – make sure to buy the kind that unravel, I found that the store brands or best choice usually unravel (Pilsbury does not unravel, it is more of a stamped cinnamon roll). I believe Aldi’s cinnamon rolls unravel as well.
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (more as needed)
- Red gel food coloring (SEE NOTE ABOUT FOOD COLORING)
Instructions
- Prepare your cinnamon rolls following your preferred recipe or store-bought instructions.
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Add red gel food coloring a little at a time, until desired “bloody” red is achieved.
- Once the cinnamon rolls are baked and slightly cooled, drizzle the red icing over the rolls to mimic “bloody guts.”
Notes
- Adjust the amount of food coloring based on how vivid or dark you want the blood effect to appear.
- Add more milk if needed to reach the perfect drizzling consistency.
