Description
These spooky mummy hand pies combine the rich, creamy taste of vegan Nutella with bananas, encased in golden, flaky puff pastry. They’re topped with googly eyes for an eerie Halloween twist!

- 2 sheets of ready roll puff pastry (Vegan & gluten-free)
- 6 tablespoons of Vegan Nutella
- 2 medium-sized bananas
- 3 tablespoons of dairy-free milk (for the ‘egg wash’)
- 2 tablespoons of caster / granulated sugar
- Googly eyes
- 1 packet of dairy-free white chocolate buttons
- 2 tablespoons of icing sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry and cut into hand-shaped pieces or rectangles.
- Spread about 1 tablespoon of Vegan Nutella and place slices of banana on each piece.
- Layer strips of puff pastry over the filling to create the mummy effect.
- Brush the pies with dairy-free milk, sprinkle sugar on top, and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Attach the googly eyes using melted white chocolate once cooled.
- Dust with icing sugar for the finishing touch.
Notes
Make sure to cool pies completely before adding the eyes for the best effect.
