Description

  • These Deviled Egg Eyeballs are a fun and spooky twist on classic deviled eggs, made with green pesto and adorned with candy eyeballs for a Halloween treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons green pesto
  • Salt to taste
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 12 candy eyes (large)
  • Red gel food color

Instructions

  • Slice hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks.
  • In a bowl, mix the egg yolks, pesto, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Spoon or pipe the pesto mixture back into the egg whites.
  • Place a candy eye in the center of each yolk mixture.
  • Use the red gel food color to draw bloodshot lines radiating from the candy eyes.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate for later use.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the seasoning based on your taste preference. For a spicier version, consider adding a dash of hot sauce to the mixture.
