Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/2 cup All-purpose Flour
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- White Icing
- Candy Eyes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a square 8×8-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl.
- In a separate bowl, beat eggs and vanilla extract together. Add the melted butter and stir to combine.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow brownies to cool completely.
- Cut brownies into squares. Using the white icing, pipe zigzag mummy-like lines across the brownies. Add candy eyes for the finishing touch.
Notes
- For an extra fudgy texture, slightly underbake the brownies.
- You can adjust the thickness of the icing to create different “mummy bandage” effects.
