Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • White Icing
  • Candy Eyes

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a square 8×8-inch baking pan.
  • In a bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, beat eggs and vanilla extract together. Add the melted butter and stir to combine.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow brownies to cool completely.
  • Cut brownies into squares. Using the white icing, pipe zigzag mummy-like lines across the brownies. Add candy eyes for the finishing touch.

Notes

  • For an extra fudgy texture, slightly underbake the brownies.
  • You can adjust the thickness of the icing to create different “mummy bandage” effects.
