Description

A spooky yet sweet and salty treat made with waffle pretzels, Hershey Hugs, and M&M’s, perfect for Halloween gatherings. These eye-catching snacks are fun to make with kids and a delicious bite-sized delight for everyone.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 35 Waffle pretzels
  • 35 Hershey Hugs (do not use Kisses, they don’t melt as well!)
  • Red sanding sugar
  • 35 M&M’s
  • Black decorating gel

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 200°F (90°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the waffle pretzels in a single layer.
  • Top each pretzel with a Hershey Hug.
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and heat for about 4-5 minutes, or until the Hugs have softened (but not completely melted).
  • Remove from the oven and immediately press an M&M onto each softened Hug.
  • Sprinkle red sanding sugar around the edges of the Hugs to create a bloodshot eye effect.
  • Use the black decorating gel to add a small pupil to each M&M.
  • Allow the pretzels to cool completely, letting the chocolate harden.

Notes

For a gory twist, you can drizzle red gel icing around the “eyeballs” for a more dramatic effect.
