- 6 whole artichokes
- 3 slices Italian bread, cubed
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ⅛ cup chopped fresh parsley
- ¼ cup grated Romano cheese
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- 5 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the artichokes by trimming the tops and removing the tough outer leaves.
- In a bowl, combine bread cubes, garlic, parsley, Romano cheese, oregano, 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the mixture into each artichoke.
- Place the artichokes in a baking dish, drizzle with remaining oil, and cover with foil.
- Bake for 60-75 minutes until the artichokes are tender.
