- 5 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
- 16 slices bacon, cut into ½-inch pieces
- 4 large onion, diced
- 4 tablespoons minced garlic
- 20 (13.75 ounce) cans chicken broth
- 24 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 4 cups heavy cream
- 1 bunch fresh spinach, tough stems removed
Instructions
- Brown the Italian sausage in a large pot.
- Add bacon, cooking until crispy.
- Sauté onion and garlic in the rendered fat.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Add potatoes, cook until tender.
- Stir in heavy cream and spinach, cooking until spinach wilts.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
