Crispy, caramelized Sweet Bacon Wrapped Tater Tots with chili-spiced sugar and sriracha mayo—an irresistible party appetizer everyone loves.


Ingredients

  • 50 tater tots, thawed to room temperature
  • 12 ounces bacon
  • ⅔ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish)

Sriracha Mayo

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (plus more to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
    Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top to allow fat to drain.
  2. Cut the Bacon
    Slice each bacon strip into thirds. This creates the perfect size for wrapping around each tater tot.
  3. Prepare the Coating
    In a shallow bowl, mix the brown sugar and chili powder until evenly combined.
  4. Wrap the Tater Tots
    Wrap each tater tot with a piece of bacon and secure the seam underneath.
  5. Roll in Sugar Mixture
    Lightly press each bacon-wrapped tot into the brown sugar mixture until coated.
  6. Arrange on Rack
    Place each piece seam-side down on the wire rack.
  7. Bake
    Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and the sugar has caramelized.
  8. Prepare Sriracha Mayo
    Mix mayo and sriracha in a small bowl. Adjust heat to taste.
  9. Serve
    Transfer tots to a platter, garnish with parsley or chives, and serve with sriracha mayo.
