- 1 recipe Easy Peasy Pizza Dough
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon ground coriander
- 16 ounces zesty salsa refried beans
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, cored and diced
- 1 small red onion, peeled and diced
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat to 450°F (230°C).
- Prepare the dough: Roll or stretch the Easy Peasy Pizza Dough onto a greased baking sheet or pizza stone. Brush 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the top.
- Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté ground beef with cumin, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and coriander until fully cooked and browned. Drain excess fat.
- Spread refried beans: Warm the refried beans in a saucepan and spread evenly over the pizza dough.
- Add beef and cheese: Evenly distribute the cooked seasoned beef over the beans, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Add fresh toppings: Remove from oven and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and diced red onion. Drizzle a little olive oil if desired before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use store-bought taco seasoning if you prefer convenience.
Corn tortillas can substitute for dough for a thin-crust version.
For extra spice, add sliced jalapeños or hot sauce.
To make ahead, assemble without fresh toppings and store in the fridge until baking.
