  • Author: Sarah White

Description

Try this flavorful Taco Pizza with seasoned beef, refried beans, cheddar, and fresh toppings for a fun, family-friendly dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 recipe Easy Peasy Pizza Dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground coriander
  • 16 ounces zesty salsa refried beans
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, cored and diced
  • 1 small red onion, peeled and diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Prepare the dough: Roll or stretch the Easy Peasy Pizza Dough onto a greased baking sheet or pizza stone. Brush 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the top.
  3. Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté ground beef with cumin, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and coriander until fully cooked and browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Spread refried beans: Warm the refried beans in a saucepan and spread evenly over the pizza dough.
  5. Add beef and cheese: Evenly distribute the cooked seasoned beef over the beans, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Add fresh toppings: Remove from oven and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and diced red onion. Drizzle a little olive oil if desired before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use store-bought taco seasoning if you prefer convenience.

Corn tortillas can substitute for dough for a thin-crust version.

For extra spice, add sliced jalapeños or hot sauce.

To make ahead, assemble without fresh toppings and store in the fridge until baking.
